In September, Zac Efron was once again reported as completing a secretive rehab stint for alcohol addiction. Since his release, new details were released regarding his tenure. Reports now suggest the trips were for both cocaine and 'molly' addictions.
Reports are noting that Zac Efron has been dealing with his drug abuse problem secretly for a few years. What was originally considered an alcohol addiction has since been unearthed as something much more serious. According to a source found by the gossip network TMZ, "It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine."
The source also spoke on Efron showing up to Ashley Tisdale's birthday party “messed up on cocaine and Molly," and added, “I think that’s the first time his pals realized his partying was way out of control. Another source alleged that the stint for Efron has to do with 'Molly' as well.
“Zac still drinks a beer when he goes out because he says he doesn’t have a problem with alcohol. But he’s an addict and needs to stay completely sober.”
Efron did break his silence in early October, when he placed a message on his Instagram which read "Hey guys! Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks...means the world to me. Love you guys! - Z."
Efron originally rose to stardom in the mid 200s, and was the star of the smash hit High School Musical, and its subsequent sequels. He had managed to escape the curse, or so many thought. Unfortunately, recent information has shown that it seems to not be the case.
