SideDraft App Designed for Peer-to-Peer NFL Fantasy Betting

A new app helps avid NFL fantasy league participants keep up with the teams and players and figure out which ones to put on their active rosters.

The app, set be released Sept. 17 by Blue Ox Entertainment, and is different than traditional fantasy football programs and apps. In fact, a player’s line-up is different each work, so if a powerhouse team is not dominate for the season or star players turn out to be a bust, they aren’t stuck with them the whole season.

SideDraft does use real money, but payout can be anywhere from nothing to $1,000. Unlike regular fantasy football, there is a player draft each week. Then, participants select their opponent and the two players have a draft, each alternating for six rounds.

Depending on the confidence level and budget, a player is not limited to a single match per week, but can offer multiple challenges and field a number of teams, using the week between games to conduct drafts.

Blue Ox Entertainment also has another betting pool app, called SideBet, released in 2011 and then enhanced last year. That app enables individuals to bet against each other.There are a variety of apps related to SideBet, such as 2Bet2, Grabfan and Pickmoto that participants can use depending on their style and needs.

Pro Football has been the go-to sport for new apps with social media and gambling. According to Fantasy Sports Trade Association (the FSTA), more than 23 million Americans play fantasy football each year, and the number continues to rise.
