Patients or members of the family may also get compensation for lost income or other financial problems that they may encounter during their stay in the hospital.

It is important to remember that although one of these cases occurred, if the patient did not suffer from any injury, patients or members of the family can’t file a medical malpractice claim. These cases are valid when a medical professional administered less than sufficient care and it caused injury and other problems to the patient and his or her family.
